Re: Japanese concerts
I've seen Miyavi 3 times (3rd time I met him in person and shook his hand and talked to him a little), Girugamesh, HITT (met him and got his autograph and talked to him), Versailles, and GACKT. I almost saw Dir en Grey but the concert got cancelled while we were at the venue, because of power problems back stage.
Re: Japanese concerts
Oh boy. Bands I've seen/lives I've been to...
I'll start with I was at both days of the hide memorial summit so there's a lot of bands right there... I saw X Japan's Night of Creation at Tokyo Dome, I was at every Kaya live in Tokyo between April & December '08 minus the Christmas live, SuG @ Ebisu Liquid Room, An Cafe x2 because my host dad worked for Sony Music, Moran, Versailles a few times, Chariots, Ansinomy's first live.... I can't actually remember everything unless I have my "ticket book" haha. Oh, and Miyavi last year when he came to Vancouver, Canada.
I've met SuG twice, An Cafe at an instore + once back stage, Hero (awkwardly), and a couple of others. Also had an awkward moment with YUKKE from MUCC on the train once...

Re: Japanese concerts
Yes, I met them twice. xD I live in Canada now, but in 2008, I lived in Tokyo. So I haven't met Shinpei, but Micchan, yes.
Both times were so full of LOL.

Re: Japanese concerts
Yeah I didn't even know until like, two months after I started staying with them! It was so strange... awesome! But so surreal.
Ahh, with HERO... I went to the Zeal Link store after school, as I usually did, that time to pick up one of SuG's Tri-Colors. But when I walked in there were (really good looking) guys I didn't recognize behind the counter. I didn't really think anything of it though and I grabbed my CD and went to the front. Two of the guys (I don't know HERO by names, sorry!) were all, "8D HELLO!!!!!!!! HOW ARE YOU?! DO YOU KNOW HERO?!?!" & I thought they meant "Hiro" like... a Japanese name. So after a few minutes of confusion there, they picked up a copy of their new single and said "Hero" again. Thennnnn I got it and I was like, "Oh! Hero! They're good!" Then they asked me if I wanted a signed copy of the CD and I declined, saying I couldn't spend much money so they rang in my SuG CD and after MORE confusion with a meet & greet ticket's time, I was on my way. & I had no clue that THEY were HERO until I got halfway back to the train station. Then I was super embarressed and walked back to the store. A regular staff member was in there and as soon as I walked in, she was like, "...a signed copy?" & I just nodded my head as I got out the money to pay for it.
(side note: last year, I messaged the members a huge message thanking them for being so kind and patient with me when my Japanese sucked so hard. They all must've read it because they peta'd me. I felt like an ass."
With YUKKE... it was like, three weeks after I arrived in Japan and me and my Finnish friend were on the train. I had JUST bought a copy of SHOXX with MUCC on the cover, too. We were sitting there and I was looking about the train when I saw, in the next row of seats across from us, a verrrrrry familiar face/hair cut. There was no mistaking that it was YUKKE. lol, he saw me staring so I turned to my friend and was like, "Hey. What bands did you say have been to Finland?" She listed a few (she doesn't know Japanese music except for Ayumi, js.) and then I chimed in (loudly), "OH. Has MUCC visited? I like MUCC. Especially their bassis, YUKKE." I looked over as I was saying this and his eyes kept darting from me to the floor, to me, to the destination sign, to me ect. Finally when we reached the next stop, he got off the train quickly and looked back as he was leaving. It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. :')

Re: Japanese concerts
the HERO thing is... just like them. ROFL. they were probably like "........;___; SHE HATES US." But actually if I saw them I probably wouldn't recognize them. Honestly the only reason I know about them is because their guitarist used to play in Nana with Chiyu. (i am obviously SuGtarded)
BUT HAHAHA OMG YUKKE IS SO AWK. That's so great... I want your life ;^;

Re: Japanese concerts
I'm so jealous of you all! You have seen so many japanese bands *___* I've only seen Miyavi once, for the first time! It was absolutely amazing...
And I've seen Girugamesh for the first time this year too, and there was a signing session..... amazing as well..
[I was so touched when Satoshi read a text about the events in japan in english and after that they played inochi no ki.. i only understand the meaning of the title of that song, but i really cried then...]
and at a convention last month a saw the j-pop star Yuuki live! I also got a poster with an autograph[she wrote her name, then the date, the name of the convention and then, in japanese letters, arigatou, really cute :3]
and i have a photo with her too :3
I hope I get the chance to see even more bands too, and i wanna see those i have already seen again!
